Wrinkle relaxer
· updated July 4, 2026
Wrinkle relaxer Injection (botulinum toxin) is a non - invasive cosmetic treatments that corrects wrinkles and fine lines. Botulinum Toxin is injected into neuromuscular tissue to temporarily paralyze muscle activity. It works by relaxing and unwinding the muscles, keeping them from contracting and lessening the presence of wrinkles.
One of the basic types of lines and wrinkles that form as we age is caused by repeated muscle contraction (caused by facial expressions such as smiling and frowning); on the face, every time a muscle contracts, it causes the skin sitting on top of it to fold over—and eventually that causes a wrinkle or line to form. The creases you have on your forehead, on the nasal bridge between your eyes, and at the corners of your eyes are all a result of your facial muscle contractions.
The benefits of wrinkle relaxer injections include giving you a younger look, and prevention of permanent development of deep inset wrinkles.
Injections are suggested to be started when the fine lines begin to stick, around 25 years old.
In general, the results appear within 3 to 14 days, and they last from 3 to 6 months. With time, the muscle activity will gradually return to normal.
Results vary from person to person and are not guaranteed. Nothing here is medical advice — book a consultation and we will look at your case.
