Fractional Laser resurfacing
· updated July 4, 2026
- Fractional laser resurfacing is referred to as a treatment that addresses the following issues: Stretch Mark Removal, Acne Scar and pigmentation, as well as preventing the skin aging. It effectively enhances skin texture, evens skin tone, reduces the appearance of stretch marks,
- This treatment penetrates deeply into the skin’s surface, which allows for treating various degrees of acne scarring and hyperpigmentation, minimizes acne scarring, and tightens the skin.
- The energy of the Fractional laser is converted into heat that breaks down treated tissues. This triggers collagen production and causes the skin to heal itself, which results in new, smooth, even skin.
- Immediately after the procedure, a sunburn sensation is common and will last several hours. This is followed by peeling of dead skin cells and natural exfoliation that can last up to a week.
- The recovery period depends on your skin sensitivity level. The treated surface may appear red for up to four days; other side effects may include minor swelling and a “tight” feeling.
- In case if you have recently been intensely exposed to sun or have a tan, you must allow two weeks before you could undergo the treatment. If you are travelling to a sunny destination, make sure to take the Fractional laser treatment at least 2 weeks prior to your departure. Always wear a minimum 30 SPF, even on cloudy days. This treatment could not be performed on pregnant or breastfeeding women,
Results vary from person to person and are not guaranteed. Nothing here is medical advice — book a consultation and we will look at your case.
