Revive Your Complexion: Advanced Protocol for Melasma and Acne

Melasma and Acne Treatment at Ideal Body Clinic: Lasers, Peels & Targeted Skincare

Melasma, post-acne marks, and stubborn hyperpigmentation can be challenging to treat. At Ideal Body Clinic, we take a personalized, multi-approach strategy to restore a clear, even, and radiant complexion.

By combining advanced laser technologies, customized chemical peels, and medical-grade home care, we achieve visible and lasting results — without compromising skin integrity.

Advanced Protocol for Melasma

Our recommended protocol integrates in-clinic treatments with a supportive home routine:

  • Laser Genesis + PicoGenesis performed on the same day, once per month
  • 4 total sessions, spaced one month apart
  • One chemical peel between each laser session (salicylic acid is an excellent choice)
  • Targeted 1064 nm laser for deeper pigmentation
  • 530 nm laser for superficial brown spots or vascular pigmentation
  • Low-energy 1064 nm pass for collagen stimulation and skin regeneration

Pro tip: Always treat the surface first (Laser Genesis or 530 nm), then target deeper pigment with the 1064 nm laser.

Recommended Home Care:

  • Hydroquinone (morning): Reduces melanin production
  • Vitamin C (morning): Antioxidant and brightening
  • Retinol (evening): Promotes cell turnover and collagen
  • Daily SPF is mandatory — no exceptions

How to Choose the Right Chemical Acid for Your Skin Type

Salicylic Acid (BHA):
Perfect for oily, acne-prone skin. It penetrates deep into pores, removes excess oil, and reduces inflammation. It’s one of the best choices for preventing breakouts and blackheads.

Glycolic Acid (AHA):
Ideal for normal to oily skin. It exfoliates the skin’s surface, stimulates collagen production, and improves texture — but may irritate sensitive skin.

Lactic Acid (AHA):
Best suited for dry or sensitive skin. It offers gentle exfoliation while hydrating the skin, making it great for beginners.

Mandelic Acid (AHA):
Recommended for sensitive, acne-prone skin. Its large molecule penetrates slowly, reducing irritation. Also has antibacterial and brightening properties.

Azelaic Acid:
Suitable for all skin types, including sensitive and rosacea-prone skin. It calms inflammation, kills acne-causing bacteria, and fades pigmentation.

Important: Introduce acids gradually into your skincare routine, and always apply sunscreen daily, as AHA/BHA acids increase sun sensitivity.

Maximizing Results by Combining Lasers and Peels

At Ideal Body Clinic, we achieve superior outcomes by strategically combining technologies:

  • Laser Genesis (530 nm surface mode) to brighten and even skin tone
  • 1064 nm laser spot treatment for deep melasma or vascular lesions
  • Post-treatment ice application to calm the skin
  • Tailored peels between sessions based on your skin’s condition and goals
